The blade has been hand forged using traditional Japanese forging methods to make both the billet and the finished blade in Japan. The blade has a black hammered forging mark finish with mirror polish damascus lines nearest the blade edge The handle was handcrafted and created in Hawaii by Gregg Salter of Salter Fine

The 240mm blade has a shirogami carbon core cutting edge for incredible sharpness and ease of sharpening
