British Fireman with Saved Girl 1860s - 11" Bronze AF1BThis stunning statuette is as close as we can get to the famous 'Saved' picture of a Victorian fireman rescuing a young girl from a burning building. By the style of dress, it is believed to be set around 1860 and has been scaled to 11" tall. On the steps at the back of the sculpture, the first verse of The Firemans Prayer has been added: When I am called to duty God Whenever flames may rage Give me strength to save some life Whatever be its age.
