Description

TR-046: 4 Tap Tap Rack/ShelfShelf length 35" maximum height 12 1 2". Highly figured Tiger maple, antique wooden (very old) maple syrup taps. Includes mounting hardware for hidden "keyhole" mounts on rear of tap rack. This is a really nice piece gorgeous wood!

Each log has been individually mitered to form a symmetrical oval

The base is made from a mature yellow birch log and the apron corners are also yellow birch

They are handcrafted using traditional New England timber framing techniques (ships knees bracing) and the walnut pegs used in the carcass of the table are left slightly proud of the joint it secures

The top has live edges on all four sides as the end grain is "bread boarded" with a live-edged board that is attached by a uniquely pegged mortise and tenon joint that allows the top to move independently with seasonal expansion and contraction

Tjis is the last of the "bark-on" brown maple and the wood has a beautifully rustic elegance
