RESERVEd FOR SUSAN Black Americana Watermelon Field Folk Art PaintingIts difficult to say what captivates my heart when hunting and gathering for art, especially folk art. Originally, I thought this piece was certainly vintage if not antique. I was wrong. Never the less, I was intrigued by the scene within the watermelon, two people in a field, one resting by haystacks while the other bent down, picking watermelons. I've often collected watermelon paintings and was considering keeping this one but I cannot keep
