My inspiration comes from living on the doorstep to the Blue Mountains National Park

and Tasmania’s Ben Lomond

The blue colour is amazing and contrasts wonderfully with the orange of the older leaves - nature’s colour wheel

The endless blue sky stretched down towards the turquoise water as the coastal grasses wafted in the soft breeze

A deep prussian blue has been painted on the canvas edges to finish the canvas and give a dark glow on the inside of the frame edge and make the surface oil colours more vibrant against the oak frame
